How To Install High Flow Filter Cartridge Into Membrane Housing?

Below is a brief procedure for installing a high-flow filter cartridge into the housing:

1. Shut off the water supply and relieve pressure (close the inlet valve, open the bypass/bleed valve to release pressure).

2. Prepare tools and protective gear (gloves, cleaning cloth, wrench, food-grade silicone grease).

3. Open the membrane housing and remove the old filter cartridge. Inspect the interior for contamination or debris.

4. Inspect and clean/replace the O-ring. Apply a thin layer of food-grade silicone grease to ensure a seal.

5. Insert the high-flow filter cartridge into the housing in the correct orientation (follow the arrow or manufacturer’s instructions). Ensure the center support is aligned and seated smoothly.

6. Replace the housing cap, first tightening by hand then evenly tightening to the manufacturer’s recommended torque (do not overtighten).

7. Slowly open the valve to restore pressure to operating pressure, checking for leaks around the connections and housing.

8. Flush for several minutes to remove initial particles or carbon dust (follow manufacturer’s required flush time).

9. Finally, verify flow rate and seal integrity, and record the replacement date.
