This replaceable pleated filter cartridge uses pleated membrane or nonwoven filtration media supported by polypropylene structural components such as the inner core, outer cage and end sections. Depending on the required filtration duty, PP, PES, PTFE, PVDF, nylon or polyester media can be specified. Common industrial configurations include multiple cartridge lengths and DOE, 222/Flat, 222/Fin, 226/Flat and 226/Fin connections, allowing the element to fit corresponding process filter housings. Published cartridge specifications confirm these end configurations and show that micron ratings vary substantially with the selected media rather than following one universal range.
Designed as a replaceable filtration element for process equipment, the cartridge can provide particulate removal, clarification, prefiltration and polishing of compatible liquids. Typical applications include process water, RO/DI pretreatment, chemicals, coatings, inks, electronics process fluids and other industrial liquid streams, subject to media and seal compatibility. Specialized media configurations can also be specified for additional process duties. The selectable media, micron grade, length, seal and end connection make the cartridge suitable for replacement programs, equipment integration and OEM industrial filtration solutions.
