This 20 inch pleated filter cartridge is available with several media types so the filtration material can be selected according to particle size, fluid chemistry and process requirements. PP media is widely used for general particle removal and prefiltration, while PES, PTFE and PVDF membranes are commonly selected for finer liquid filtration or applications requiring different chemical compatibility. Nylon, polyester and glass fiber media are also established pleated filtration materials for specific process duties. A 20 inch nominal length of 508 mm and SOE or DOE end configurations are standard formats for industrial pleated cartridges.
Typical applications include water-treatment prefiltration, RO pretreatment, general process-water filtration, compatible chemical liquids and protection of downstream membrane or cartridge stages from suspended particles. The actual retention rating, temperature limit and differential-pressure capability depend strongly on the selected media and cartridge construction, so these values should not be treated as identical across PP, PES, PTFE, PVDF and other media. This configurable construction makes the cartridge suitable for industrial filtration solutions where different liquid chemistries and filtration requirements must be matched with an appropriate pleated medium.
