Stainless Steel 304 316L Sterile Air Filter and Steam Filter Housing
- Size – Make sure to get a housing that fits your filter size. Common sizes are 12x24x1, 16x25x1, 20x25x1 inches. Measure your current filter to find the right size.
- Material – Stainless steel is durable and easy to clean. Make sure it is 304 or 316 grade stainless for corrosion resistance.
- Seal – Look for a tight sealing gasket to prevent air leaks. Foam or rubber gaskets work well.
- Access – Housings with a removable lid or side access panel make it easy to change filters. Top access only can be trickier.
- Mounting – Choose a housing that fits your installation – horizontal, vertical, or ducted mounting.
- Airflow – Check the airflow rating and make sure it matches or exceeds your HVAC system’s airflow. Too small and it will restrict airflow.
- Pressure – For central HVAC systems, the housing should be rated for the static pressure your system requires.
- Features – Added features like a sight glass to check filter condition or a manual air vent to release trapped air can be useful.
